When my birthday approached I decided it was time to visit Rio de Janeiro for the first time. "You won’t regret it", told me F. at the time of invitation ... and I didn't. On the coastline, nature splendor blends in with the overbuilt city in an exciting mix that one can hardly imagine under the same sky. Weather didn't assist me, but the day the sun finally broke free through the dense blanket of clouds, Rio appeared in its entire splendor.
